The LG Story

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
This brand was created for women who refuse to choose between their identity and their ambition.
My name is Zenab and I'm a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete, coach, and gym owner based in Calgary, Canada. I’ve been training for over a decade, stepping onto the mats in spaces where women like me were rarely seen, especially women in hijab.
And while I showed up, stayed consistent, and pushed through every challenge, there was always one thing in the back of my mind…
Is my hijab going to stay in place?
For years, Muslim women have had to adjust, compromise, or even hold themselves back - not because they lacked strength, but because they lacked the right support.
I created this sports hijab to change that.
Designed with performance in mind, it features breathable fabric and a secure, silicone grip that stays in place through every roll, lift, and movement, so you can train with full confidence.
This isn’t just about a product.
It’s about representation.
It’s about confidence.
It’s about showing the next generation of girls that they belong in every space they choose to step into.
The hijab should never be a barrier, and now, it isn’t.
Welcome to a new standard.
WHAT DOES "LG" STAND FOR?
The name LG stands for Lady Gi - a representation of a woman in her gi, strong, capable, and unapologetically herself on the mats.
When I first started Jiu Jitsu, I didn't feel that I looked the part. Traditionally, combat sports was something we only saw men do, and if women did it, they were just a different breed of women.
As someone who embraces her feminine side, I always thought combat sports was the opposite of that.
Until I realized, that I can still be a lady and be fierce on the mats.
And that's how LadyGi was born.
I'm not just a any lady. I'm a Lady in a Gi.
And so are you.
And that is why this brand is for YOU.
